The West Ham United owners have reportedly considered appointing ex Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo and sacking David Moyes.

That’s according to a report from the Daily Mail who claim that the one time Tottenham manager was under consideration from the West Ham board, but there was a very big problem.

It is suggested that the cost to prise him away from his job at Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia would be close to £6 million.

There is absolutely no way that the West Ham board would pay out that kind of money for Nuno as well as paying out Moyes for the remainder of his contract.

One thing’s for sure – Moyes needs to be sacked if the Hammers are to remain in the Premier League. When that eventually happens, quite who will come in to replace the Scot is anyone’s guess though…

West Ham considering replacing David Moyes

Ex Tottenham boss Nuno is on the Hammers’ radar but the Daily Mail reckon that it will cost around £6 million to bring him to the London Stadium.

That definitely won’t be happening.

I believe that if Moyes is sacked, Rafa Benitez will be the most likely manager to replace the Scot.

The 62-year-old Spaniard allegedly wants the West Ham job as well.

One thing is clear in my mind – if Moyes stays as manager, we will get relegated down to the Championship.

Something has to change if we are to stay in the Premier League, and fast.

Nuno would be a terrible appointment in my opinion, and not just because of the £6 million fee we’d have to pay for him.

David Moyes needs to be sacked as West Ham manager but they’re are loads of better options out there than Nuno Espirito Santo, that’s for sure.
