West Ham United have reportedly made a £35 million bid for ultra talented Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
That’s according to a report from Calciomercato who claim that West Ham have made the offer via the 28-year-old’s agent – Mateja Kezman.

Signing a top-class central midfielder will be absolutely vital for Hammers boss David Moyes in the summer transfer window.

Declan Rice will almost certainly leave the London Stadium at the end of the season.
And getting a replacement for the 24-year-old will be the difference between a successful 2023/24 season and a really poor one.
It seems like Moyes has someone specific in mind for the job…
West Ham ‘make bid’ for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic
Calciomercato reckon that the Hammers have actually already submitted a £36 million offer for the experienced Lazio midfielder.
He’d be a great signing for the East London outfit. Football Italia recently described the midfielder as an ‘unstoppable’ player. Meanwhile, The Laziali label him as ‘world-class’.
Lazio value the Serbia international at around £60 million (The Sun). Whether we will be able to meet them somewhere in the middle at around £48 million remains to be seen.

The 28-year-old has bagged six goals and eight assists in 30 games for Lazio this season, whilst last term he racked up 11 goals and 12 assists in 47 outings (Transfermarkt).
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is an absolutely unbelievable player and would be a superb addition for West Ham. However, it must be said that the Lazio star would in no way be a direct replacement for Rice.
They are two completely different players. It must be said that he’d still be a real statement signing for us.
I for one am not sold on the veracity of this rumour though. I just feel like the Serbia international’s next move will be to one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
