West Ham have decided to keep David Moyes in charge at the London Stadium and as a result, one player will be moved on.

According to a report from The Times, David Moyes remaining as West Ham manager is very bad news indeed for one player in particular.

The Hammers were really poor in the Premier League this season, but managed to finish in 14th spot in the table in the end after a decent bit of form late on.

However, the 2022/23 campaign will go down as our best one for 43 years after Moyes guided us to an unbelievable Europa Conference League triumph.

European success has clearly saved Moyes his job at the London Stadium. And because of that, it seems as though one player will be sent packing when the summer transfer window opens…

Report makes big player exit claim as West Ham board make David Moyes decision

The Times claim that Gianluca Scamacca is now expected to leave the Hammers, with Moyes remaining in charge at the London Stadium.

The 24-year-old has already been heavily linked with a summer exit from West Ham.

It has been clear to see from day one that Scamacca is painfully ill-suited to Moyes counter-attacking system at the London Stadium.

Every time the Italian has played for us, he has been isolated on his own through the middle.

Scamacca possesses exceptional technique and is very good at holding up the ball and linking up play. However, he is never going to run the channels like Michail Antonio does.

The reality that the former Sassuolo ace isn’t suited to our playing style makes the fact that Moyes signed him in the first place absolutely baffling.

Should the Scot be open to changing his playing style from the start of next season onwards, I still believe that there is a future for the Italian at the London Stadium.

However, it seems more than likely that Gianluca Scamacca will never fulfil his potential at West Ham under David Moyes, and for that reason, he should just move on this summer for his own good.
