The relegation battle has just taken another shock twist and it could be really bad news for West Ham United.
West Ham are right in the mix for relegation from the Premier League this season, in spite of today’s game against Southampton.

The Hammers still face a big struggle ahead of us. David Moyes has done a really poor job at the London Stadium this season domestically. And if it wasn’t for our fine European form, the Scot undoubtedly would have been sacked some time ago.

And some shock news broke today that could have a huge baring on our survival hopes.
Leicester City made the decision to part ways with Brendan Rodgers just after our clash with Southampton kicked off today (Leicester’s official website).
The Foxes are currently sitting in 19th place in the Premier League table but now they could have a real new manager bounce heading into their final 10 league games of the season…
Relegation battle takes another shock twist and it could be bad news for West Ham
Leicester getting rid of Rodgers is a bold move at this stage of the season.
However, it could end up being the right call from the Foxes. For whatever reason, Rodgers had clearly lost the dressing room at the King Power Stadium.
The East Midlands outfit have been in absolute free fall for quite some time now.

And a new manager coming in may well give everyone at the club a real lift. Leicester parting ways with Rodgers now means that incredibly, West Ham and Nottingham Forest are the only two clubs inside the bottom nine of the table who haven’t sacked their managers this season.
West Ham United obviously have to focus on our own matches between now and the end of the season, and not worry about what other clubs are doing.
It must be said though, our task of staying in the Premier League will be made a whole lot easier if those in and around us in the table are struggling.
So with that in mind, Leicester getting a new manager bounce at this stage of the season can only be bad news for West Ham and our hopes of avoiding relegation.
