West Ham United winger Maxwel Cornet was captured on camera at Rush Green today, looking really intense during a training session.
Maxwel Cornet joined West Ham from Burnley in the summer of 2022 for around £17.5 million (Sky Sports).
However, he has endured a nightmare spell with the Hammers at the London Stadium, and it went from bad to worse for him two weeks ago when he was left out of the squad entirely for our clash with Aston Villa.
He must have done something wrong behind the scenes, because David Moyes has hardly given him a chance this season.
It really hasn’t been a smooth ride in East London for the winger. Cornet suffered an extremely unfortunate injury last October, and didn’t return to training until March of this year.
Sine then, Moyes has give him just 149 Premier League minutes (Transfermarkt) – that tells us all we need to know really doesn’t it.
That said, it seems like he’s still giving his all in training…

The Ivory Coast international was working hard at Rush Green during a training session today.
The first and second pictures on West Ham’s official website show Cornet looking very intense indeed.
Moyes’s reluctance to give the 27-year-old any kind of meaningful minutes really has been very strange indeed.
He was an explosive winger at Lyon and Burnley, and showed everyone his qualities on a fairly consistent basis.
The injury that he sustained last year certainly hasn’t helped him one little bit, but he’s fully fit now, so what’s the problem?
It’s not an attitude thing judging by those training photos today. Maxwel Cornet could still make a difference for West Ham.
Whether David Moyes is prepared to give him a proper chance in the Premier League remains to be seen though.
