The Hammers travel to Goodison Park on Sunday to take on the Toffees in what is a huge game for David Moyes’s men.

It is a big one for Rafa Benitez’s Everton side as well – they can go top if they win and results elsewhere go their way.

West Ham lost 2-1 to Brentford at the London Stadium last time out so a positive result against Everton is an absolute must.

It should be a cracking game at Goodison Park on Sunday.

West Ham beat Everton last season at Goodison:

Both teams always play to win and it is an incredibly hard one to call – a sentiment echoed by Paul Merson.

Merse spoke to Sportskeeda and made his prediction for the clash between Everton and West Ham:

“West Ham were flying in the Premier League but all of a sudden, they were beaten by Brentford in a game they were expected to win. Everton are also performing well, so this game is a hard one to call. Michail Antonio being fit and firing automatically makes West Ham a different team, but Everton will come out and take the game to their opponents, so I can see this one ending all square.”

Prediction: Everton 2-2 West Ham United

A draw would be a decent outcome for the Hammers.

If that was offered now, most West Ham fans would take it. At the same, time, however, Moyes’s men are very good against teams who take the game to them.

We beat Everton away last season and there is no reason why we can’t repeat that result.

As long as we have all of our key players fit and they are on top of their games, we think West Ham can win this one.

Three points would be absolutely huge at this stage of the season.
