Paul Merson makes 3-goal Everton vs West Ham prediction

Paul Merson has made his prediction for the Everton vs West Ham United Premier League clash this weekend.

West Ham, got back to winning ways in the Premier League against Brentford on Monday, whilst Everton picked up a draw last time out away at Brighton, and Paul Merson has made a three-goal prediction for the game between the two sides on Saturday.

The pressure has eased on Hammers boss David Moyes after Monday’s 4-2 win, but that doesn’t mean that he’s immune from losing his job, and certainly not if his team embark on another run of poor results.

West Ham have been so poor at times this season, mostly when we sit back and allow the opposition to asset themselves onto us.

Moyes cannot afford to set up his team like that at Goodison Park on Saturday. We have better players than them, so we should keep the ball, and hurt them with it.

However, Merson believes that the Toffees will beat us this weekend…

Paul Merson makes Everton vs West Ham prediction

Merson has made his weekly predictions for Sportskeeda.

And he explained why he believes the Merseyside outfit will beat the East Londoners on Saturday:

“Everton got an absolutely massive boost earlier this week as their points deduction was reduced to six from ten, which will allow them to play without fear between now and the end of the season. They aren’t safe yet, but their situation isn’t as bad as it was before, so they just have to ensure they don’t lose too many games. Sean Dyche and Co have some nice fixtures coming up and Goodison Park will be absolutely bouncing ahead of this game. I think they will make it count and secure a massive win that will take them another step closer to Premier League safety.”

Prediction: Everton 2-1 West Ham

I actually think we’ll win this one, as long as Moyes sets up his players to begin the game on the front foot.

We have some truly exceptional players including the likes of Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus who are all really capable of hurting Everton.

Let’s hope that the prediction from Paul Merson ends up being wrong!
