Numerous West Ham United players have received the privilege of an international call-up this month – 11 in fact.
West Ham boss David Moyes has numerous international players at his disposal at the London Stadium now.

The Hammers boss has probably assembled the best squad that I have seen in my lifetime, having made four truly top-class signings in the summer transfer window.

However, there are still plenty of veterans at the London Stadium who have been with us for years, including Angelo Ogbonna.
However, the 35-year-old is definitely winding down his career now. And that’s what makes his latest comments so baffling…
West Ham player’s comments on not getting international call-up utterly delusional
The experienced Italian has been speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb about the current Italy national team setup.
And Angelo shared how he hoped to get a call-up from Luciano Spalletti:

“I have come to terms with it and I respect the decisions. I hoped and thought I would receive a call to be part of the group.”
Listen, I love Ogbonna, but his comments on not getting called up to the Italy national team squad are clearly delusional.
The former Juventus man has hardly played for West Ham this season, with just 111 Premier League minutes to his name, and one appearance each in the Europa League and the Carabao Cup respectively.
He made a shocking mistake for the Hammers during our home win over Backa Topola as well.
If Ogbonna really thinks he is deserving of a call-up ahead of the likes of Gianluca Mancini, Alessandro Bastoni, Francesco Acerbi and Giorgio Scalvini, then I’m sorry, but he’s delusional.
The West Ham centre-back won’t be getting another international call-up for Italy, I’m pretty sure of that. And the sooner he accepts that the better.
