The West Ham United owners failed to act ruthlessly with David Moyes when the time was right and lost out on Sean Dyche in the process.
Now, Everton boss Dyche may not have been the first choice replacement for Moyes, had the Scot been moved on, but he would almost certainly have kept us up, in my opinion anyway.

Just look at what he’s done at Everton so far. He has the players pumped up and has guided the Toffees to two Premier League wins from three games.

I’m sure that the ex-Burnley gaffer would have got a tune out of the current West Ham squad.
The Hammers are in real trouble now. We are slowly sleepwalking toward relegation and Moyes has no clue how to get us out of the mess that he caused.
In my opinion, it might well be too late to change things now. We are where we are and with the most stubborn man in the world in charge of us, I have no faith that improvements will be coming anytime soon.
Things could have been so different for West Ham though, had the owners acted in a prompt and ruthless manner three months ago…
West Ham owners only have themselves to blame for current situation
Back on November 12th, the Hammers lost 2-0 at home to a struggling Leicester City side at the London Stadium.
It was the latest in a long line of dreadful performances overseen by Moyes and was our fourth defeat in our last five Premier League games.
Crucially though, it was our last game for around six weeks, as Premier League football was halted for the World Cup out in Qatar.
What a perfect time it would have been for the West Ham owners to sack Moyes and appoint a new manager. It would have given the new boss six weeks to work with his players and an upcoming January transfer window to strengthen the squad as well.
Sean Dyche would have been the perfect man for the job, certainly on a short-term basis. However, I believe that he actually would have been a solid long-term replacement for Moyes as well.

Instead, the board stuck with Moyes, in the hope that he would turn things around. It was nothing more than hope, because there were absolutely no signs on display that the Scot had any idea how to turn things around.
And it’s no surprise that things have got worse for West Ham since Premier League football resumed on Boxing Day.
The Hammers have taken just six points from our last eight Premier League games. That just isn’t good enough and there is only one way that this season will end with Moyes at the helm.
Meanwhile, Everton ave been firing on all cylinders since Dyche’s arrival at Goodison Park.
The West Ham owners had the perfect opportunity to change the narrative of our season back in November after the Leicester defeat. However, they failed to act and may well now pay a heavy price for that indecisiveness.
