Football journalist Dean Jones has absolutely nailed it with his take on the current West Ham United situation with David Moyes at the helm, unlike many of his peers.
There is no denying that West Ham are in real trouble at the moment, and are currently sitting in 18th spot in the Premier League table.

Hammers manager David Moyes is under real pressure at the London Stadium, and it’s little wonder as to why.

The Scot’s football is absolutely turgid and dire to watch and is an ancient relic of times gone by. It has no place in the modern game and the majority of West Ham fans have had enough of him now.
Amazingly, the 59-year-old is apparently safe in his role as Hammer boss. I can’t for the life of me fathom why that’s the case, but we are where we are.
At least there is one journalist out there who has said it how it is…
Dean Jones hits the nail on the head with comments on West Ham boss David Moyes
Many football journalists and ex-players have been coming out in support of Moyes recently. Most of them clearly haven’t watched West Ham this season and their baseless opinions have become really tiresome to listen to.
However, Jones bucked that trend. The well-renowned football journalist told Give Me Sport:

“It is a pretty big game for him; I mean, most fans have had enough at this point of watching West Ham under David Moyes. They think he’s too negative, they’re bored of seeing the same errors played out time and again. I think a defeat to Nottingham Forest and there’s going to be some serious unrest here, there is already a lot of agitated people.”
Jones has hit the nail on the head here.
Moyes spent £170 million in the summer and has failed to get the best out of the new signings due to his old fashioned methods.
There needs to be some accountability here. It’s not just a case of getting all the new signings to bed in, we are way past that point. The West Ham fans are restless because of the way that David Moyes has gone about his work this season, and rightly so.
Something needs to give soon. And if we lose to Nottingham Forest, it may well end up being the straw that broke the camel’s back.
