There has been a monumental boost for West Ham as relegation rivals Leeds and Leicester suffer blows which could decide who drops.
Despite the recent revival the heat is very much still on West Ham in the tightest Premier League relegation battle for years.
The bottom three has chopped and changed of late between a number of clubs including Leeds United and Leicester City.
Liverpool put a dent in West Ham’s resurgence with a lucky win at the London Stadium on Wednesday night.
Vastly improved performances from the Hammers of late looked to have put the club on the brink of safety and sealed a second consecutive European semi-final.
Wins for Bournemouth, Leicester and Nottingham Forest over the last few days have set the cat amongst the pigeons.

Hammers not out of the woods yet
Now a total of anything less than 36-38 points looks very dangerous indeed. And that means West Ham will likely need at least one more win and a draw or two more wins to be sure of safety.
Given the much improved form of David Moyes’ side, fans will be hoping that could come at Crystal Palace this weekend.
But failure to get a positive result in that game will pile the pressure on tough tests against free-scoring Manchester City and Man United next week.
West Ham are not out of the woods yet. Far from it. And there can be no room for complacency of any kind. After all West Ham still hold the unwanted record of being relegated on 42 points.

Monumental West Ham boost as relegation rivals Leeds and Leicester suffer blows which could decide who drops
At least two of four clubs below West Ham are guaranteed points this weekend. Because Bournemouth play Leeds and Leicester host Everton.
West Ham play Leeds and Leciester to finish the season. The Hammers don’t want to be going into those games knowing their opponents could have the incentive of going above them.
There has been a potentially major twist today, though.
And it looks like a monumental West Ham boost as relegation rivals Leeds and Leicester suffer blows which could decide who drops.

Potentially fatal for two of West Ham’s survival rivals
Leicester boss Dean Smith has today revealed in-form striker Kelechi Iheanacho has torn a groin muscle. And he looks set to miss most, if not all, of the Foxes’ run-in.
Smith admitted ‘It’s going to be tough to get him back’.
Meanwhile another of West Ham’s survival rivals Leeds have suffered a blow by losing one of their own main goal threats for the rest of the season.
Leeds boss Javi Gracia has confirmed attacker Luis Sinisterra is out for the run-in with an ankle injury.
It is never nice to see players get injured. But with so much at stake these blows could prove fatal for Leeds and Leicester.
And that can only be good news for West Ham in the dog-eat-dog fight to stay aboard the Premier League gravy train.
