Maxwel Cornet has made a bold claim about what he has to offer West Ham United.
West Ham signed Maxwel Cornet from Burnley in the summer of 2022 for around £17.5 million (Sky Sports).

However, the Ivory Coast international suffered a calf injury back in October that kept him out for around five months.

It seems as though the talented ex-Burnley and Lyon ace hasn’t lost his confidence during his absence from action…
West Ham ace Maxwel Cornet makes bold claim
The 26-year-old is now back involved in first-team training and has been a part of the last eight match-day squads for West Ham in the Europa Conference League and the Premier League.
Cornet spoke to WHUFC.com and highlighted how he is able to offer the Hammers something that nobody else can:
“I know I’m a different player from the others in the squad. The coach recruited me because of this and that’s what I try to give the team.”

Cornet is obviously referring to his blistering pace – something that the Hammers desperately lacked when he was out injured.
The 26-year-old plays with real directness, and when he return to full fitness, he should be able to make a huge difference for West Ham.
It’s just such a shame that he’s been forced to spend so much time on the sidelines during his debut campaign at the London Stadium.
Maxwel Cornet will still end up being a vital player for West Ham, I’m sure of it. Let’s hope that he returns back to his best as soon as possible.
