A manager West Ham piled the pressure on in the Europa League could replace the boss they’ve just cost his job at Wolves.
There is no shortage of irony surrounding the manager’s job at Wolverhampton Wanderers following West Ham’s win over them at the weekend.
The defeat to West Ham was the straw that broke the camel’s back for Wolves when it came to boss Bruno Lage.

The Portuguese paid for the 2-0 loss to West Ham with his job after Wolves confirmed Lage had been sacked.
Wolves chairman Jeff Shi said: “Bruno is an excellent coach, a hardworking and dedicated manager, and a warm, wise and honest man.
“He and his staff have been a pleasure to work with throughout their time at Wolves, so it is with much sadness that we have had to make what has been a difficult decision.”
Manager West Ham piled pressure on in Europa League could replace boss they’ve just cost his job at Wolves
All the talk before the crunch game suggested David Moyes’ job could be on the line if West Ham’s results did not improve quickly.
But the victory over Wolves has dissipated any dark clouds that might have been gathering in east London, for now at least.
Now a manager West Ham piled pressure on in the Europa League earlier this year could replace the boss they’ve just cost his job at Wolves.

The Hammers reportedly left Julen Lopetegui clinging to his job after they overturned a 1-0 first leg deficit to knock favourites Sevilla out of the Europa League last 16 on an unforgettable night back in March.
Sevilla had been the pace setters in La Liga for much of last season but their title challenge fell away too as they finished fourth.
The side West Ham vanquished have struggled so far this season with Sevilla one place above the relegation zone after seven games with just one win.
Now according to the likes of The Daily Mail, Lopetegui could be set to replace Lage at Wolves.

Lopetegui was Fosun’s first choice to become Wolves manager when they took control of the club in 2016, but he instead accepted an offer to become Spanish national coach.
Things had been going well for Lopetegui at Sevilla until that sliding doors meeting with West Ham.
And in fairness classy Lopetegui was full of praise for the Hammers after his side were knocked out by Moyes’ boys.
Now, ironically, the man West Ham heaped pressure on in Spain could soon replace the boss they helped get the axe at Molinuex.
The domino effect proves West Ham really are massive everywhere they go.
