Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka has been included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad and it’s very bad news for West Ham star Jarrod Bowen.
Bukayo Saka of Arsenal has just been included in the England squad for their upcoming fixtures against Australia and Italy.
The same can be said of West Ham star Jarrod Bowen, after the 26-year-old made an exceptional start to the 2023/24 campaign.

Gareth Southgate has plenty of attacking options at his disposal but one area where he is slightly short of numbers is the right wing department.
And with that in mind, Saka’s inclusion in the Three Lions squad is very good news for Southgate, but perhaps not so good for Bowen…
Bukayo Saka gets England call
The 22-year-old Gunners forward will be available for selection for England’s upcoming games against Australia and Italy, according to the Mirror’s John Cross.
That comes after he missed the Gunners’ clash with Manchester City at the Emirates yesterday. So the fact that he’s even in contention to be playing for his country is great news for Arsenal – the injury is quite clearly not a serious one.

Meanwhile, it’s bad news for Hammers ace Bowen. The 26-year-old attacker would have been a shoo-in to fill in for Saka over the next 10 days in my opinion – certainly against Australia.
However, with Arsenal star Bukayo Saka now in contention to play for England, Bowen may well have to make do with limited minutes.
The West Ham forward deserves so much more than that. He has already bagged five goals and two assists for the Hammers this season and is the most in-form front-man in the Premier League.
He has undoubtedly reached an entirely new level this season. I’m just hoping that he is rewarded for that with a full game for England during the international break.
With Saka’s return to full fitness though, I’m just not sure that will happen unfortunately.
