The West Ham United vs Newcastle United clash at the London Stadium yesterday afternoon was full of controversy.
The game between West Ham and Newcastle ended in a 2-2 draw, and the Hammers players would have felt incredibly hard done by not to have won the match.

Hammers boss David Moyes would have been incredibly agitated with the sheer volume of decisions that went against his team.
And the Scot and the Hammers found that they had a hugely unlikely ally in the form of Jamie O’Hara yesterday…
West Ham vs Newcastle refereeing performance slammed by pundit
O’Hara was a guest in the Sky Sports studio during yesterday’s Premier League clash between the Hammers and the Toon.
And the pundit criticised Bankes for one of the numerous shocking decisions that he made on the day, when speaking on Sky Sports News (Sunday October 8th, 3:32pm):

“By the way, if I’m David Moyes after that game, I’m absolutely kicking off. Guimaraes shouldn’t be on the pitch, Newcastle are going to win the game and they should be down to ten men! It’s a disgrace!”
O’Hara is absolutely spot on, but I’m hugely surprised that the well-renowned anti West Ham pundit has spoken out in our defence here!
The Tottenham supporting pundit has history of criticising and mocking us at any opportunity he gets.
However, yesterday he decided to break rank and offer his support to West Ham after Bankes almost single-handedly rescued a point for Newcastle.
If Jamie O’Hara is defending West Ham, then there must have been a truly awful refereeing performance on display in East London – and that certainly was the case.
I would like it if Peter Bankes never refereed a West Ham game again. Liverpool seem to have results when they demand that certain refs do not officiate their matches. And we should be taking the same route as far as I’m concerned.
