Lucky escape for David Moyes as 7-capped England international rejects West Ham move
The Hammers boss will have to move on to other central midfield transfer targets this summer it seems.
That’s because Gallagher will be starting at Chelsea for at least one more season.
I genuinely believe this will end up being a lucky escape for West Ham. Not because the Chelsea man is a bad player, because he most certainly isn’t.

The 23-year-old is very solid, has bags of energy and is a very hard worker indeed. However, the Blues were said to be demanding around £50 million for the seven-capped England international (talkSPORT).
That’s far too much money to be paying for the 23-year-old as far as I’m concerned. Especially when you consider the fact that we could sign the likes of Ibrahim Sangare, Manu Kone and Sofyan Amrabat for a lot less.
Conor Gallagher would be a good addition to David Moyes’s ranks at West Ham, there’s no doubting that. Not for £50 million though. £40 million would be as high as I would go for the Chelsea man.
It’s time for Moyes to move on to other targets.
