Jurgen Klopp has absolutely raved about ‘top-class’ West Ham player Thilo Kehrer ahead of the Liverpool clash.

The Hammers head to Anfield to take on Liverpool tomorrow night in what is a huge game for both sides.

And if West Ham are to have any chance whatsoever of beating Liverpool, we will need Kehrer to be on his best form once again.

After moving to the London Stadium from Paris Saint-Germain for around £10 million in the summer, the 26-year-old has arguably been the Hammers’ best player so far this season.

Kehrer actually made an inauspicious start to life at West Ham, after he gave a penalty away against Brighton during his Premier League debut.

The Germany international has bounced back in fine style, however, with strong performances against the likes of, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Chelsea, Everton, Wolves, Fulham and Southampton.

And Klopp knows just how good his countryman is…

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp raves about West Ham star

Thilo Kehrer was one of the West Ham players who the Reds manager name checked during his press conference this afternoon.

Klopp labelled Kehrer as ‘top-class’, as quoted by Liverpool’s official website:

Thilo Kehrer I know obviously from Germany, top-class defender. That’s just the development of West Ham and that makes it for us even more difficult.

Klopp is spot on there. Kehrer has been sensational since moving to West Ham.

His swashbuckling displays have given the West Ham fans some real hope throughout what has been an underwhelming start to our 2022/23 campaign.

The Germany international has demonstrated his blistering pace regularly during his opening 12 games in a West Ham shirt.

The 26-year-old is also a really tenacious tackler and has great energy.

He has played at both centre-back and right-back for the Hammers so far this season, and his versatility could be crucial for us throughout the course of what will be a long and physically demanding campaign.

The London Stadium faithful absolutely love Kehrer’s infectious winning mentality, passion and commitment to the cause.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is clearly a big fan of the West Ham defender as well. And considering some of the players the German has managed, that really is a ringing endorsement.
