Joe Cole said one West Ham United player was ‘different class’ vs Anderlecht in the UEFA Europa League tonight.

The Hammers players put in one of their best performances of the season against Anderlecht tonight, and they have now recorded four wins in a row.

Sure, the second-half performance wasn’t anywhere near as good as the first-half, but it didn’t have to be.

West Ham have now qualified from Group B, and need just one point from our final two games against Silkeborg and FCSB in order to win the group. Exciting times indeed for the Hammers.

There were plenty of stand out performances tonight, and Lucas Paqueta was one of them.

The 25-year-old has already endeared himself to the London Stadium faithful, after making his £51 million move from Lyon in the summer.

Alan Shearer recently raved about the Brazilian ace, highlighting how influential he is to this West Ham team.

And he was on form once again tonight…

Joe Cole raves about Lucas Paqueta display for West Ham vs Anderlecht

West Ham vs Anderlecht was a game that Moyes would have been desperate to win.

In spite of that, the Scot made eight changes from the team that beat Fulham on Sunday.

Lucas Paqueta kept his place though. And he didn’t disappoint.

Joe Cole absolutely raved about the West Ham play-maker, when speaking on BT Sport tonight (Thursday October 13th, 8:55pm):

Paqueta was different class in between the lines.

David Moyes took the Brazilian off at half-time in the end, in order to keep him fresh for Sunday’s clash with Southampton.

Paqueta has already bagged two assists for West Ham, and there will undoubtedly be plenty more to come.

We haven’t seen the best of the South American star yet.

Joe Cole highlighted just how special he is, when praising the West Ham star’s performance vs Anderlecht.

And as long as David Moyes and the fans are patient with him, the Hammers could well have a real superstar on our hands.
