The 25-year-old actually made an inauspicious start to life at West Ham, after he gave a penalty away against Brighton during his Premier League debut.

The Germany international has bounced back in fine style, however, with strong performances against Viborg, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Chelsea, FCSB, Silkeborg and Everton respectively.
His swashbuckling displays have given he West Ham fans some real hope throughout what has been an awful start to our 2022/23 campaign…
Thilo Kehrer has been a West Ham diamond in the rough
The ex-PSG star has been quite simply brilliant for the Hammers.
And in truth, he has been the only positive for West Ham throughout the first five or six weeks of the season.
The Germany international has demonstrated his blistering pace regularly during his opening eight games in a West Ham shirt.
That speed enables us to push higher up the pitch – something that will be a necessity if we are to become more of a possession based team.
His ability to make penetrating passes through the lines is offering West Ham something that we haven’t possessed in decades.

Kehrer has averaged 1.6 interceptions and 3.6 clearances per match in five Premier League outings for the Hammers so far. During those appearances, he has made 46.2 passes on average per game, and has recorded an impressive completion rate of 86.6% (Who Scored).
£10 million for a proven Germany international and an ex-Paris Saint-Germain player seems like absolute peanuts.
On top of his undoubted quality, he possesses incredible passion and it seems as though he has genuine love for the club already.
Thilo Kehrer has undoubtedly been the diamond in the rough for West Ham United so far this season.
