West Ham star Angelo Ogbonna has delivered an update after suffering a worrying new injury in the defeat at Brighton.
If West Ham are to have any hope of staying in the Premier League this season they need to get and keep as many of their key players fit as possible.
Even then – as results have proved all season long – it is going to be a tough ask to get the five wins needed from the remaining 13 matches.
So the last thing Hammers fans and manager David Moyes wanted to see during the demoralising defeat at Brighton was another player come off injured.

Senior defender Ogbonna was down for some time receiving treatment before eventually being replaced by Kurt Zouma, who was making his own return from injury.
Zouma has played just once either side of almost four months out.
With three games in a week, West Ham need everyone ready for the fight.
So there has been understandable concern over West Ham’s Italian stalwart.
Now key West Ham star Ogbonna has delivered an update after suffering the worrying new injury in the defeat at Brighton.

Speaking on the club’s official website, Ogbonna says the injury is not as bad as first feared and he ‘should be ok’ for the upcoming matches.
“For a precaution we decided to make a change, but I think it’s okay,” Ogbonna confirmed on whufc.com.
That is a huge relief given the circumstances right now.
That being said Moyes faces a major dilemma as to how to approach West Ham’s Europa Conference League last 16 first leg clash in Larnaca this thursday.
This is the team we believe Moyes should play in Cyprus because the Premier League game against Aston Villa is just too important.
