A journalist has made an embarrassing claim in a trouble-making “exclusive” about West Ham star Tomas Soucek.

All is rosy in the West Ham garden. So of course it’s only natural that some might be looking to cause issues where they aren’t any – especially during the notoriously quiet international break.
And a journalist has made an embarrassing claim in a trouble-making “exclusive” about West Ham star Soucek.
Last month we took issue with Football Insider after they reported that West Ham were looking for a replacement for Soucek stating the Czech ‘is out of contract next summer and has yet to agree an extension’.
We pointed out – once again – that, as West Ham fans know, Soucek has already signed a new four-year deal which the club has chosen not to formally announce.
Why let the facts get in the way of a good story?
Now reporter Peter O’Rourke of the same website is at it again, claiming: “talks between West Ham and midfielder Soucek over a new contract have stalled in the last year, sources have told Football Insider”.
Just how wrong can you get it? This is mischief making at its finest.
Hammers News has once more had it confirmed by the top source inside the club – as has also been corroborated by other top West Ham sources elsewhere – that Soucek has already extended his contract in the summer and is perfectly happy.
Football Insider call O’Rourke’s story a ‘major update’ and state: “discussions have stalled – opening the door to potential suitors, including Inter”.
Thankfully West Ham fans know the truth of the matter and it will take a lot more than tall tales to upset the happy Hammers camp right now.
