Jarrod Bowen has absolutely raved about something his West Ham United teammate did against Brentford last night.

West Ham star Jarrod Bowen bagged his first ever hat-trick for the club against the Bees, and what a time it was for him to score three goals.

The Hammers have been in the midst of a woeful run of form recently, and David Moyes was said to be close to losing his job before the match kicked off.

However, the 4-1 win against Brentford will certainly have eased the pressure on the Scot. Moyes has Bowen to thank for that – what a performance it was from him.

He nodded home his third goal, midway through the second-half after a Mohammed Kudus assist, but the 27-year-old was more impressed with another one of his teammates…

Jarrod Bowen raves about West Ham teammate

The former Hull City star was visibly delighted after last night’s game – and rightly so. However, he was full of praise for Emerson Palmieri, rather than just bask in all the glory himself.

Bowen said he’s never seen the Italian do anything like that before, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“Emerson’s goal was just incredible. I’ve never seen him do that and I think he’ll tell himself that!”

The 29-year-old has always possessed impeccable technique, so it’s a surprise that he doesn’t attempt shots from outside the box more often – he certainly has the ability.

The goal that Emerson scored last night was the best I have seen at the London Stadium since Andy Carroll’s incredible scissor kick against Crystal Palace in 2017.

Hopefully we’ll see many more wonder strikes from the former Chelsea man over the next few years. Jarrod Bowen was surprised after seeing Emerson stick it top bins from 25 yards out, but the West Ham left-back has the talent and ability to do it on the regular.
