Declan Rice has been a standout performer for West Ham United over the past few years, and Jamie Redknapp is clearly a huge fan fo the 24-year-old.

The West Ham captain is the first name on David Moyes’s team-sheet and he can’t be far off that for England manager Gareth Southgate either.
Dec is clearly one of the very best at what he does. However, he has received criticism from high profile pundits recently about his lack of output in the final third.
The point that all of them are missing is that defensive midfielders should not be expected to contribute that much in the final third.
But now one Sky Sports pundit has nailed it regarding the West Ham skipper…
Jamie Redknapp delivers impressive Declan Rice verdict
Redknapp was speaking about Rice’s ability on Sky Sports yesterday.
And the 49-year-old spoke glowingly about Dec:
“He’s their most important player and their best player. A lot of people talk about what he can’t do, I prefer to talk about what he can do. His influence on this side, he’s been a leader for so long and he can pretty much do everything. I think he’s such an important player and he’s proven it for a long time now. I’ve been so impressed with him, he’s such a leader of men at a really young age.”
Spot on that is from Jamie Redknapp.
Too many pundits seem to want to bring Rice down with criticisms. Maybe it’s because they’re part of a conspiracy to help drive down his price so that he can join one of their clubs!
