Jacqui Oatley has destroyed Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp with a reminder about a West Ham debacle after his call for a match to be replayed.
If Liverpool are looking for a club to empathise with their frustrations over VAR then they’d be hard pressed to find a better candidate than West Ham.
Earlier this year Hammers News reported on the shocking fact that West Ham were officially the club worst affected by VAR interventions.
Infamously Jarrod Bowen’s phantom foul on Chelsea goalkeeper of the time Edouard Mendy denied the Hammers a deserved draw last term.
It was dubbed the worst VAR decision yet by West Ham boss David Moyes and pundits.
But in fact there is little sympathy for Liverpool among West Ham fans.

In fact many have been telling Liverpool: ‘Now you know how we feel’.
Just the other week West Ham were denied a clear penalty for a foul on Bowen at Anfield.
It was a decision which received barely a second look let alone an explanation.

But the degree of incompetence from the Premier League officials and VAR in denying Liverpool star Luis Diaz his excellent goal at Spurs has received a full inquest and then some.
Today Reds manager Jurgen Klopp today said he personally believes Liverpool should be awarded a replay against Spurs.
And that has prompted one of the game’s top football presenters and commentators to speak out – using an infamous incident where the Hammers were wronged against Liverpool as an example.

‘What about when West Ham were wronged in match against Liverpool?’
Jacqui Oatley has destroyed Liverpool boss Klopp with a reminder about that West Ham debacle after his call for the match to be replayed.
Oatley posted video and an image of that horrendous failure to flag Liverpool offside as when they scored to take the lead against West Ham at the London Stadium back in February 2019.
The assistant referee was stood right in front of James Milner who was two yards offside as he set up Sadio Mane for a goal.
“Is the VAR error so much worse than this assistant being in the wrong postcode when Liverpool were wrongly awarded the opening goal at West Ham when top of the table in Feb 2019?” Oatley said.
“(It ended 1-1). Both huge procedural errors as other teams have suffered before and since.”
