Injured £30m West Ham star Gianluca Scamacca appears to have been spotted training in the corner of a photo ahead of the Chelsea clash.

West Ham welcome rivals Chelsea to the London Stadium on Saturday for what is set to be a huge game for both teams.

It is fair to say West Ham and Chelsea have fallen way below expectations in the Premier League this season.

So there is plenty riding on this particular London derby.

West Ham are going through a bit of a rough patch with injuries at the moment.

And the Hammers have been missing £30m summer signing Scamacca for over a month as the result of a knee injury sustained in a 2-2 draw at Leeds.

As reported by Hammers News, the Italian supported his West Ham teammates from home at the weekend after having his final injection in a course of treatment for his injury.

90min had claimed there were ‘ongoing concerns’ over the Scamacca injury with extent of the problem being “kept under wraps” by West Ham.

But, as reported by Hammers News previously, Scamacca took to social media to deny those claims saying “soon back”.

The Chelsea match was slated as Scamacca’s rough return date when he first picked up the injury.

Now it seems that may prove very accurate indeed.

Because injured £30m West Ham star Scamacca has been spotted training in the corner of a photo ahead of the Chelsea clash.

West Ham posted a gallery of pictures from a training session at Rush Green on Monday.

And eagle-eyed West Ham fans will be pleased to see what very much looks like Scamacca doing sprints in the corner of photo number four.

Zooming in, it is clearly Scamacca with his white Nike boots and tall, slender frame also tell-tale signs.

Having Scamacca back is great news for David Moyes. Given the uplift in performances and results of late, it is highly unlikely he would start against Chelsea even if fully fit.

But having that kind of firepower and option on the bench could be invaluable.

Many supporters are also excited by the potential link-up between Scamacca and January signing Danny Ings in the second half of the season.
