Gianluca Scamacca has gone Eminem in more ways than one to celebrate his West Ham return after six weeks out.
As reported by Hammers News on Monday, Scamacca was set to return to training with West Ham this week after confirming his return to London on social media.
The Hammers have been missing £35m summer signing Scamacca for six weeks as the result of a knee injury sustained in a 2-2 draw at Leeds.
After a series of injections on the injury, Scamacca was spotted in training at Rush Green last week. That came after he declared he would be “soon back” ahead of the Chelsea clash.
But he was not in the squad for Chelsea and reports claimed the towering Italian had returned to Italy for checks.
Speaking ahead of the Spurs game, David Moyes said he was delighted to have Scamacca back but insists he is not ready for game action.
The striker is certainly feeling upbeat, though, as he hip-hopped back into training at Rush Green.
Because Scamacca has gone Eminem in more ways than one to celebrate his West Ham return.
Taking to Instagram, Scamacca shared a West Ham video clip of him all smiles back in training set to Eminem’s ‘Without Me’ song with the lyrics ‘guess who’s back‘.
And a closer look showed signs under his beanie hat that he has bleached his hair blonde again like Eminem having gone back to his natural black hair the last time he featured for West Ham.
The video was captioned “Sca-Bacca in training”.
It’s a welcome sight for West Ham given the club has one of the worst scoring records in the Premier League.
Many may not have realised just how bad things are, though, in an attacking sense at West Ham.
An absolutely shocking fact has emerged about West Ham’s goal output this season which is very concerning indeed.
So Scamacca’s return to training is a welcome one.
Let’s hope Scamacca will be soon be topping West Ham’s goalscoring charts like Eminem topped the music charts.
