Spurs main man Antonio Conte has issued a statement on his West Ham absence as speculation swirls around the game.
West Ham are desperate for every point they can get in the bid to beat the drop and they may never get a better chance of beating bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
If West Ham boss David Moyes was not already encouraged by the fact Tottenham are missing four key players for Sunday’s clash then yesterday’s news about Spurs boss Antonio Conte will surely have given him some belief.
It was announced by Tottenham that Conte will also miss the West Ham clash as he has remained in Italy to recover from a recent operation.

Before Tottenham made the announcement it had emerged Conte had not travelled back to London with the team following their 1-0 Champions League defeat to AC Milan.
And that sparked claim and counter claim about the situation and the Italian’s future ahead of what is a massive match for both teams when Tottenham welcome West Ham.
Conte – like Moyes – has found himself under pressure this season. And as a result of this latest development, stories have been circulating that Conte will definitely be leaving in the summer.
Now Spurs’ main man Conte has issued a statement on his West Ham absence as speculation swirls.

The Tottenham boss has moved to dampen any conspiracy theories by insisting he simply came back too soon from his recent procedure and insists it hurts not being able to lead the team against the Hammers.
“My great sense of responsibility towards the club, the players, the staff and the fans brought me to anticipate my comeback on field,” Conte said in a statement on his Instagram stories as also reported by Sky Sports.
“Sadly I underestimated the procedure, which wasn’t a routine operation, but a sudden and serious emergency. My body has suffered my impatience and now I am forced to stop until my entire recovery.
“(Those) who know me, understands what a burden this is for me, but it is necessary. Come on you Spurs!”
