Fabrizio Romano has shared a major Declan Rice update that all West Ham United fans really need to hear.
The 23-year-old has been absolutely sensational for the Hammers, and England for that matter, over the past couple of years.
He is under contract with West Ham until the summer of 2024, but we have the option to extend that deal by a further 12 months.

The onus will be on the Hammers to keep matching Dec’s ambition both on and off the pitch, if we are to keep him at the London Stadium.
The £170 million spend this summer was a good start, but it will be crucial to qualify for Europe again, if we are to show Rice that we really are a club on the up.
And it seems as though the East London outfit are still taking a firm stance on the 23-year-old…
Fabrizio Romano drops big Declan Rice claim
The Italian football journalist has shared a couple of good bits of news regarding Rice and West Ham.
Firstly it seems as though Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham will be the priority for many clubs this summer, rather than Dec.
And secondly, West Ham will not roll over and sell the England international on the cheap.
Romano told Caught Offside:

I think he could bring some energy to the Liverpool midfield, so an excellent fit for sure. However, Jude Bellingham will be the priority for many clubs. We always have links for Rice and it’s normal – but West Ham insist they want to keep him. It’s going to be an expensive transfer to sign Rice in 2023, nothing has changed.
To me, that seems as though West Ham are standing firm on the £150 million price-tag stance.
The Athletic claimed a few months ago that that is the fee that the Hammers will demand from any club that wants to sign Rice.
Now, we obviously won’t want to lose the 23-year-old for nothing in 2025, so in order to keep Rice at the club for the next decade or so, West Ham will need to qualify for the Champions League, or at least start to win major trophies.
The potential is there. It’s just a matter of whether the board, David Moyes and his players live up to what they’re capable of in their own specific fields.
Fabrizio Romano has made it very clear that Declan Rice will not be sold on the cheap. And it will be very interesting to see where he’s playing his football next season.
