David Moyes has said West Ham have suffered four new injuries in the disastrous FA Cup clash with Bristol City.
The last thing West Ham need right now is injuries and more matches.
But after the FA Cup third round draw at home against Bristol City that’s exactly what the Hammers have been handed.
Things looked rosy in the West Ham garden as Lucas Paqueta beautifully set up Jarrod Bowen to open the scoring within the opening exchanges in front of a capacity 62,500 crowd at the London Stadium.
That’s as good as it got for David Moyes and his side, though, in what proved to be a Hammers horror of a match.

The game ended 1-1 – adding yet another fixture to West Ham’s growing list in the form of a replay at Ashton Gate next week.
Paqueta went off injured after just 10 minutes followed by defender Konstantinos Mavropanos before the break.
A physical Bristol side bossed the second half and more than earned their equaliser.
Hammers injury nightmare
And West Ham’s misery was then complete when top scorer Bowen went down in agony with what looked like a very sore ankle injury right at the end of the game.
With Mohammed Kudus and Nayef Aguerd away until next month, Thilo Kehrer shipped out to Monaco and Michail Antonio suffering an injury setback, it’s been a bad start to the new year for West Ham following a drab 0-0 draw at home against Brighton.
Things could be even worse, though, it seems.
Because now Moyes has said West Ham may have suffered four new injuries in the disastrous FA Cup clash.
Coufal adds to list
Speaking on West Ham’s website after the game, Moyes confirmed the injuries and revealed Vladimir Coufal has also suffered a knock after some tough challenges.
“The injuries happened and it’s football and you have to live with it when it happens,” Moyes said.
“You will pick up injuries and you have to deal with it. We’ve been quite fortunate this season as we’ve not picked up too many, but today we just felt as if we had one or two injuries.
“Vladimír (Coufal) was also stunned by a couple of challenges, but we’ll check them and hopefully they’ll be OK. We had a few knocks and bruises, but that’s what happens this time of year.”
