David Moyes provides Kurt Zouma injury update after West Ham defender suffers ankle injury

David Moyes has provided an update on the Kurt Zouma injury after West Ham lost 4-3 to Crystal Palace.

Kurt Zouma suffered an ankle injury as Crystal Palace scored their equaliser at Selhurst Park today, and he was replaced by Angelo Ogbonna.

The 28-year-old leaving the pitch through injury summed up our season really and David Moyes will be really concerned with the Frenchman’s inability to remain fit for a prolonged period of time.

When Zouma is fit and on form, he’s a huge player for us. However, there always seems to be a serious injury just waiting in the wings for him.

And it seemed like the former Chelsea man’s ankle injury today will not be one that he can bounce back from quickly…

David Moyes provides Kirt Zouma injury update

The Scot addressed the media after his Hammers side lost 4-3 to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the Premier League this afternoon.

And Moyes responded when asked by reporters about Zouma’s ankle injury that he picked up, as quoted by Football.London:

“It looked like he’s gone over on his ankle, his ankle has swollen up at the moment. We will get him checked in the morning tomorrow with a scan.”

The fact that his ankle is swollen is really bad news as far as I’m concerned.

That is usually the sign of a really bad sprain. Let’s just hope that he hasn’t broken it.

If the Kurt Zouma injury is a really bad one and he is out for a long time, it could be disastrous for West Ham.

Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that the scan on Zouma’s ankle yields good results tomorrow.
