It’s time for West Ham United manager David Moyes to make some drastic changes after yesterday’s abomination away at Aston Villa.
West Ham were quite simply awful during our 4-1 defeat to Aston Villa, and David Moyes will be well aware that that kind of performance quite simply wasn’t good enough.

Kurt Zouma spoke after the game and suggested that the only positive was the performance of Jarrod Bowen, and that sounded about right to me.
Now it’s time for Hammers boss Moyes to wield the axe by dropping three players for next weekend’s Premier League clash with Everton – Nayef Aguerd, Tomas Soucek and Michail Antonio.
The centre-back, the central midfielder and the striker were all absolutely horrendous yesterday, and they need to realise that poor performances of that nature will not be tolerated anymore…

Aguerd put in yet another error-strewn display, and was caught napping numerous times by Villa. Despite showing great promise, it really does seem like Moyes might have signed a dud.
Soucek was absolutely miles off the pace yesterday. He was slow and sluggish and regularly slowed down our counter attacks, especially inside the first-half. He attempted just 10 passes in 65 minutes yesterday (Who Scored) – show me one other central midfielder in world football who’s making only one pass every 6.5 minutes?
And then finally, we come to Michail Antonio’s performance. What more can be said? He was utterly dreadful, and needs dropping as a matter of urgency.
So, with those three coming out, which players could come into the side?
In my opinion, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Mohammed Kudus and Said Benrahma should start against Everton. The Toffees will be extremely pragmatic and set up defensively, so we will need more creativity and guile if we are to win this one.
Mavropanos is a huge upgrade on Aguerd as far as I’m concerned, and we’ll be much more solid defensively with the big Greek ace at the heart of our back-line.
Kudus can either play as a false 9 or out wide on the right, with Jarrod Bowen moving into the central striking role.
And then Benrahma can come into the side on the left wing, with Paqueta dropping into midfield to replace Soucek.
The quality of our football would improve in an instant with that lineup and let’s face it, Moyes failing to make any changes for the Everton game would be a kamikaze move, after West Ham’s performance against Aston Villa yesterday.
The Hammers have a game against Olympiacos on Thursday night, and it will be interesting to see what side Moyes selects. Regardless of the Europa League lineup though, I want to see big changes for the Everton game as well.
