David Moyes has taken drastic action at Rush Green to combat a major West Ham issue claims a journalist in the wake of the Fulham drubbing.
West Ham manager David Moyes is so concerned by the illness sweeping through his squad that he has put measures in place to try and stop it.
West Ham’s dismal 5-0 defeat at Fulham has understandably raised eyebrows. Particularly as it came just days after the 2-1 comeback win at bitter rivals Spurs.
The Hammers were simply not at the races. And Moyes insisted illness and fatigue were key factors in the thrashing as he delivered his post-game assessment.

Moyes takes drastic action to combat major issue
Here on Hammers News after the final whistle we pointed out some strange behaviour from Moyes during the defeat.
The Scot did not leave his seat for the entire second half, sending Hammers assistant coach Billy McKinlay to the touchline instead – a rare sight as West Ham fans will testify.
We suggested it may have been because Moyes himself was ill.
And that was backed up by The Athletic’s David Ornstein who revealed the manager and several staff and participating players were suffering with a bug.
Now Moyes has taken drastic action at Rush Green to combat the major West Ham issue claims a journalist.

Hammers given two days off to stop spread
Jack Rosser is a journalist for The Sun who used to be The Evening Standard’s West Ham correspondent.
And he has revealed Moyes has given his entire squad two days off to try and stop the spread of illness in the camp.
“West Ham players given two days off following 5-0 loss at Fulham,” Rosser said.
“Moyes wants them to stay away from training ground to stop spread of sickness bug.
“Also their only chance for a day off before four games in nine days starting Thursday.”
It comes after Moyes was warned by a club insider that West Ham’s disappointed owners are expectant ahead of two big home games against Freiburg and Wolves this week.
That is a big call from Moyes, who is known to be a workaholic himself and is a stickler for working his staff and players hard too.
West Ham fans will be hoping the rest does everyone good after what they witnessed on Sunday.
It means West Ham’s players will not report back in for training until Wednesday – the day before the crucial Europa League clash against German side Freiburg.
A draw will be enough to see West Ham go straight through to the last 16 of European competition for a third consecutive season.
And that in itself will earn the Hammers a three-month break from European football with the last 16 taking place over two legs in March.
