Strange behaviour of David Moyes raises eyebrows as West Ham stroll to a 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Fulham.
The saying ‘after the Lord Mayor’s show’ was made for this as West Ham surrendered to a woeful 5-0 defeat at Fulham after beating bitter rivals Spurs just a few days ago.
Key midfielder Edson Alvarez was not in the squad and Emerson was on the bench with both players reported to have been suffering with illness.
But it was West Ham fans who were left feeling sick after watching their team collapse to a shocking loss despite a bright opening.
Hammers supporters have noted some very unusual goings-on in the performance, though.

Strange behaviour of Moyes raises eyebrows
And the strange behaviour of David Moyes raised eyebrows as West Ham strolled to the drubbing at Fulham.
Even at 0-0 some of West Ham’s players were visibly strolling around the pitch with zero intensity.
There were exceptions such as Jarrod Bowen and James Ward-Prowse. But Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus in particular looked shadows of the players we know they are.
Rumours of illness in the camp could be the reason. And Moyes will no doubt point to tiredness amid a hectic fixture schedule.

Sickness, tiredness or something amiss?
But that does not explain Moyes’ very weird behaviour which saw him remain in his seat in the dugout for the entirety of the second half.
Assistant Billy McKinlay was seen on the sideline – which would have immediately raised a flag for regular observers of the Hammers who know it is almost always only Moyes who stands on the touchline.
Moyes’ strange behaviour coupled with the fact many of West Ham’s players appeared lacking in either effort or energy will no doubt spark conspiracy theories.
But it could be the Scot himself was feeling under the weather.
