There has been a big Sheikh Jassim development after persistent speculation linking him with a West Ham takeover.
Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani has been heavily linked with a West Ham takeover after failing in a bid to buy Manchester United.
Reports have abound for some time that the Hammers could be set for a big money takeover by Qatari Sheikh Jassim.
And last month The Times claimed he could buy the Gold family’s West Ham stake and more.
That was after Hammers News spoke to the top source inside West Ham who revealed majority owner David Sullivan and Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky were ‘undecided’ over whether to purchase the Gold family shares themselves.

Big Sheikh Jassim development after West Ham takeover speculation
“Club insiders believe the opportunity may attract an offer from Qatar after Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani’s failed bid to buy Manchester United,” The Times reported.
“Ms Gold’s family has a 25 per cent shareholding in West Ham and she is working with the Rothschild bank to sell part of that stake. It is understood that if the price was right, Ms Gold may be willing to sell the entire shareholding.”
Now there has been a big Sheikh Jassim development after persistent West Ham takeover speculation.

Out of West Ham and Inter Milan?
Because if he was interested in buying West Ham or the Gold family shares, he may not be anymore.
Multiple reports emerging in Italy claim he has turned his attentions to Inter Milan instead.
Calcio Mercato are reporting on claims from Il Giornale which state the Sheikh Jassim’s Qatar Islamic Bank is keen to acquire the Serie A leaders from current owners, the Zhang family.
And while they have no particular desire to sell the club, it is reported they ‘may be tempted by a huge offer from the bank’.

Fans were mixed on prospect of Qatari takeover
Especially as the Zhang family must pay back a £300m loan to the US-based Oaktree fund by May to avoid losing a portion of the club to them.
Sheikh Jassim’s shift of interest to Inter is clearly bad news for West Ham fans who welcomed the takeover.
Many Hammers supporters feel the added financial muscle and ambition it would have brought could take the club to new levels.
And there was hope a Sheikh Jassim takeover might result in West Ham eventually buying the London Stadium and or investing in remodelling it as well as investment in more modern training facilities.
Other supporters have voiced concerns around the moral issues of any such takeover, though. So for those this news will come as a major relief.
