Hammers boss David Moyes has hailed the ‘clever’ West Ham owners for a big decision he believes they got bang on.
Speculation has been rife over the future of David Moyes at West Ham this season.
And that shows no signs of abating as we head into the summer following claims last week that the Scot and head of recruitment Rob Newman are effectively ‘done’ at West Ham.
Majority stakeholder David Sullivan has backed Moyes on several occasions when speaking to Hammers News this season.
But that has not stopped the likes of The Times claiming West Ham will bid Moyes farewell even if he keeps the club up and wins the Europa Conference League.
A report from 90min has also made similar claims of late.

After the magnificent 1-0 win over Man United on Sunday night, West Ham have all but officially secured Premier League survival.
At the final whistle Moyes could be seen pumping his fist in the direction of the West Ham director’s box.
And he made a point in his post-match interviews of praising the Hammers board for sticking by him.
Now attentions turn to the big Europa Conference League semi-final against AZ Alkmaar.

Speculation continues to abound that Moyes will be replaced this summer, with three different managers linked today alone.
But speaking in his pre-Alkmaar press conference, the boss thinks he has proved Sullivan and co right.
Moyes hails ‘clever’ West Ham owners for a big decision he believes they got bang on.

‘I hope they’ve probably realised’
The Hammers manager says the owners were ‘clever’ made the ‘correct decision’ to stick by him.
“I think the last two years we’ve had really successful seasons here at West Ham,” Moyes said in his press conference when asked about his position at the club.
“In fact I think they’ve been great seasons for West Ham. Obviously we’d like to do better, this year’s been a bit disappointing in many aspects, but not this competition (the Conference League). This competition we’ve been excellent.
“I would say that the board have been clever (to keep me), (they’ve) thought about it, I hope that they’ve probably realised they’ve come to the right decision and people would realise it was the right decision.
“So I think that overall, the support I’ve had from David Sullivan, Karren Brady, the Gold family, you name it. I’ve had great support from them.
“When there was a lot of noise from outside, they were incredibly supportive.”
