The Times has made an absolutely incredible new David Moyes claim in a report about a West Ham decision over ‘progressive’ style.
Debate has raged for months regarding the future of David Moyes at West Ham.
The Scot has been under intense pressure for some time and has seen a host of managers linked as his potential replacement at West Ham.
Hammers majority stakeholder David Sullivan has been consistent in his backing of Moyes despite West Ham’s struggles.
He has told Hammers News on several occasions that the board stand behind Moyes – including an 11-word backing for the manager last month.
Many supporters are sick of the style of play under the Scot, particularly given the lack of results to justify it this season.

West Ham fans unfurled a banner about Moyes during the welcome but extremely fortunate win at Fulham.
And Hammers supporters also chanted ‘You don’t know what you’re doing’ to the boss.
So it is fair to say the manager is fiercely dividing opinion among fans.
West Ham still have much to play for in the last two months of the season.
Besides striving for Premier League survival – which looks much more achievable after two vital if unconvincing wins last week – West Ham are also favourites to win the Europa Conference League.
The Irons are the only club in any European competitions with a 100 per cent winning record this season following Bayern Munich’s defeat to Man City.
It is difficult to imagine a scenario where West Ham part ways with a manager who has led them to a first major trophy in 43 years.
But that is exactly what will happen it is being reported.

Times makes absolutely incredible new David Moyes claim in report about West Ham decision over ‘progressive’ style
Because The Times has made an absolutely incredible new Moyes claim in a report about a West Ham decision over ‘progressive’ style.
In an article linking West Ham with Feyenoord boss Arne Slot, The Times claims Moyes will be going even if the Hammers lift their first proper silverware since 1980.
“West Ham are expected to part company with David Moyes even if the Scot keeps his struggling side in the top flight and wins the Europa Conference League,” The Times reports.
The report claims the ‘progressive’ style has caught the eye of West Ham and other Premier League clubs.
So it seems – if the report is accurate – that the club has made a clear decision over the style of play they want to see at West Ham from the summer.
Given West Ham’s lack of success over the last four decades, that decision may well be derided by those outside the club.
But for Hammers fans this has been no knee-jerk reaction. It remains to be seen whether Moyes has time to rebuild confidence in him among supporters between now and the summer.
Yesterday we reported on in-depth new research which shows majority stakeholder Sullivan has been vindicated in sticking by Moyes this season.
