Frank Lampard takes exception to ‘disrespectful’ claims about West Ham man which went viral after his Chelsea return.
There have been a few subplots involving rivals West Ham and Chelsea since Graham Potter was sacked last week.
With doubts over David Moyes’ future at West Ham, Chelsea’s decision to sack Potter instantly sparked speculation he could be the Scot’s replacement this summer.
Following West Ham’s 5-1 defeat to Newcastle last week, The Telegraph claimed it is likely that the Hammers will try to bring in sacked Chelsea boss Potter to replace Moyes.
After being linked with a host of managers to replace Potter, Chelsea then re-appointed former West Ham star turned villain Frank Lampard in a caretaker role.

Ironically Lampard was sacked from his last job as Everton boss after losing to West Ham back in January.
Fans all know the history between Lampard and West Ham so that would have stung for the Academy of Football graduate.
Another West Ham and Chelsea subplot emerged following Lampard’s return to Stamford Bridge too.
There have been claims that TV host and West Ham fanatic James Corden helped persuade Chelsea owner Todd Boehly to appoint Lampard.

The likes of The Sun claim West Ham nut Corden has become friendly with Boehly and played a role in the club’s re-appointment of Lampard after offering his advice that the ex Hammer would be a good fit.
The report claims that Corden has become familiar with Lampard through his work with his cousin Jamie Redknapp on shows such as Sky programme A League Of Their Own.
Corden’s alleged role in Lampard’s appointment quickly went viral across social and national media. And he was soon labelled ‘agent Corden’ by West Ham fans given Lampard’s questionable management record.
Some stated comedian Corden’s match-making was his ‘best gag yet’.

Frank Lampard takes exception to ‘disrespectful’ claims about West Ham man which went viral after Chelsea return
Now Lampard has taken exception to ‘disrespectful’ claims about the West Ham man which went viral after his Chelsea return.
Speaking in a press conference ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid, Lampard has demanded more respect for Boehly in the wake of the Corden claims.
“I saw the headline of James Corden and I am absolutely unaware of if it’s true or not,” Lampard said.
“It’s obviously a great headline to put together casually from the outside.
“When I look at the success of Todd Boehly and the owners of Chelsea Football Club I think you have to respect that success and respect the idea that they’ll make decisions based on more than a conversation with one person.”
