The future of David Moyes at West Ham is shrouded in uncertainty amid Celtic links after a claim from a David Sullivan confidant.
Last weekend Hammers News stated the situation surrounding David Moyes at West Ham beyond this summer was as clear as mud.
Well one week on and after West Ham ended a 43-year major trophy drought by lifting the Europa Conference League, that remains the case it seems.
Speculation linking Moyes with his boyhood club Celtic have always been in the background.
But talk of serious Hoops interest in their former defender has come to the fore since Ange Postecoglou’s departure for Spurs.

Moyes played down Celtic talk ahead of final
Speaking in his press conference ahead of the final win over Fiorentina, Moyes played down the Celtic talk.
But what else would he be expected to do in that situation with such a huge West Ham game looming?
There has been an almost incessant stream of claims and counter claims about the Scot and whether he would be staying at West Ham for at least the last year of his contract.
Speaking since the final, Hammers majority owner David Sullivan made it clear Moyes will be West Ham manager next season – as long as he wants to be.
“David had a contract with us and has a contract with us until next summer and next summer we’ll look at it again,” Sullivan told talkSPORT.
“Until then, if he wants to remain as manager then he will remain as manager of West Ham.”

David Moyes future at West Ham shrouded in uncertainty amid Celtic links after claim from David Sullivan confidant
The caveat ‘if he wants to remain’ has once again sparked rumours the manager could decide to walk away on a high amid those links Celtic.
It was reported earlier this week that not only will Moyes be rejecting Celtic to stay at West Ham, he will be having an even bigger say in transfers too.
But the future of Moyes at West Ham is shrouded in uncertainty amid Celtic links after a claim from a Sullivan confidant.
It was reported on Friday that Moyes had been called to a crunch meeting with Sullivan over his and the club’s future.
Now Sullivan confidant Hugh Southon claims West Ham are waiting for a decision from Moyes.

Could lure of Celtic or DoF appointment change landscape?
“The Hammers are waiting on David Moyes to make a decision on whether he will be managing the club next season!” Southon reports.
“We were told: “Who knows, he could resign and go out on a high, but from the club’s point of view he stays”…
“However, Sullivan implied that he would hope Moyes, like himself, would honour the third year on his contract. The Hammers owner declared that is how he tried to behave in all circumstances.”
The fact Moyes and Sullivan reportedly had a meeting and the manager is yet – according to this report – to decide on his future suggests there is a decision to make.
That could mean the lure of Celtic is making the Scot think about things.
Or it could be, as suggested in Southton’s report, the intended appointment of a director of football at West Ham this summer.
