A report claims David Moyes is staying with a bigger say in transfers and three stars targeted in a huge West Ham development.

On Sunday Hammers News stated that the situation surrounding David Moyes at West Ham beyond this summer was as clear as mud.

Proof, if it were needed, came from the almost incessant claim and counter claim about the Scot and whether he will be staying at West Ham after the Europa Conference League final on Wednesday night.

Recent reports stated that West Ham’s owners have been so disappointed with the club’s transfers in recent windows they are hiring a top level director of football to oversee recruitment.

Report: David Moyes is staying with a bigger say in transfers and three stars targeted in a huge West Ham development

That looked like being the beginning of the end for Moyes given his insistence on being heavily involved in West Ham’s transfer dealings.

Well the situation has – allegedly – taken yet another dramatic twist today.

A report claims Moyes is not only set to stay but also get a bigger say in transfers with three stars targeted in a huge West Ham development.

According to an “exclusive” from Steve Kay of Football Transfers, Moyes will remain Hammers boss next season, will have even more influence over transfers and is targeting one of James Ward-Prowse, Conor Gallagher or Scott McTominay to replace Declan Rice.

Seismic shift from Hammers – or is it? Perhaps Moyes has been driving it all along?

“Moyes set for West Ham stay and targets Ward-Prowse, Gallagher and McTominay deals…” the report claims.

“Moyes is set to be given a bigger hand in recruitment, FootballTransfers also hears. The Scotsman has been linked with the Celtic job, but the Hammers are now confident that he is the man who can help them succeed down the line and into next season.”

This would mark a huge shift from West Ham.

Unless it has been Moyes leading the club’s plans to appoint a top level director of football alongside Mark Noble?

That is certainly plausible.

Moyes has been talking up how happy he is at West Ham of late.

And fans won’t have to wait long to find out how much truth there is to this new report with the Conference League final on Wednesday night and the transfer window opening for domestic deals next week.
