David Moyes has confirmed a major triple West Ham boost and responded to rumours about new signing Kalvin Phillips.
There’s nothing quite like getting good news straight from the horse’s mouth and that’s what West Ham fans have today.
The Hammers endured a torrid start to the new year with injuries, results, performances and struggles in the January transfer window.
But things have been looking up over the last week or two for David Moyes.
Jarrod Bowen returned sooner than expected from injury, Mohammed Kudus was back early from AFCON and Edson Alvarez also declared he was back training after a calf strain.

Moyes confirms major triple boost
Injured talisman Lucas Paqueta is on the mend and ‘almost 100% fit’ according to his wife.
Then West Ham were able to land what looks one of the best signings of the window in the shape of Kalvin Phillips from Man City.
Last night Nayef Aguerd was also sent out of AFCON after a mistake from the Hammers defender cost Morocco dear in defeat to South Africa.
West Ham return to Premier League action when they welcome Bournemouth to the London Stadium on Thursday night.

Kudus and Alvarez back, Aguerd not far behind
Ahead of the game manager Moyes confirmed a major triple West Ham boost and responded to Phillips rumours.
Speaking to the press the Scot has confirmed Kudus and Alvarez are available. And he expects to have Aguerd back soon too.
“Mo Kudus is back from AFCON, which is good, and Edson Álvarez is doing much better,” Moyes said, as reported on the club’s official website.
“I expect him (Aguerd) to be back with the squad soon.”

Boss responds to Phillips rumours
After West Ham completed the signing of Phillips on loan from Manchester City, many believe it will be bad news for Tomas Soucek.
It is widely believed that Soucek will be the one who makes way in West Ham’s starting XI following the arrival of Phillips.
Most observers believe Moyes will start Phillips alongside the brilliant Alvarez. And it will see James Ward-Prowse ahead of them in a new-look midfield.
But earlier this week a national newspaper journalist claimed he has been told Phillips will actually be replacing Alvarez in the West Ham starting XI. The reporter stated Moyes has concerns over Alavarez’s discipline.
Moyes was non-committal over those claims when asked whether Phillips will be starting for his side against Bournemouth, though.
“Is he ready to start tomorrow? I don’t know,” Moyes said.
“He’s not played much but I know he’s been training and keeping himself going. But I couldn’t give you an exact answer right now.”
I guess we’ll all find out at 6.30pm tomorrow when the teams are announced.
