David Moyes has admitted that he played one West Ham United player in the FA Cup who was injured against Manchester United last night.
West Ham looked like we were heading for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup at Old Trafford last night, after Said Benrahma gave us the lead at Old Trafford.
Benrahma was superb for Moyes’s side and was the standout performer in my opinion.

However, things went from bad to worse for the Hammers inside the final 15 minutes or so, and we ended up losing the game 3-1.

The only positive we can take from the match in the end is that we were in control of the game for at least 60-70 minutes last night.
Also, it’s worth mentioning that extra-time would have been an absolute nightmare, with a highly energetic Brighton team to play on Saturday.
Something Moyes said about one of our players is slightly concerning ahead of that clash with the Seagulls though…
West Ham player had a shin injury despite featuring in FA Cup clash
David Moyes addressed the media last night, after our really disappointing defeat to Manchester United.
And the Scot suggested that Jarrod Bowen had a shin problem, despite featuring for around 20 minutes last night, as quoted by Football.London:

“He did, he had a bit of a sore shin and into his ankle. It gave me a chance to play Pablo. It wasn’t that bad that I couldn’t use him but he had been sitting for the last day or so with ice on his ankle. I’m trying not to make it any worse than it was, I just thought that later on, maybe he might have given us a little bit extra when I bought him on.”
Let’s hope that Moyes giving Bowen a 20 minute run-out at Old Trafford didn’t aggravate his shin problem, because we really need him to be fully fit and firing on all cylinders for the run-in.
Last night was really disappointing in the end. West Ham really should have progressed through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
However, let’s hope that things don’t get worse for us regarding Jarrod Bowen’s shin problem.
