Chris Sutton has responded to a claim that 5-time Premier League winner could take David Moyes’ job at West Ham.
Michael Carrick has been heavily linked with taking over from David Moyes at West Ham United recently.

And Chris Sutton has weighted into the debate concerning whether the five-time Premier League winner would be a good fit to replace Moyes at West Ham.

The Hammers owners are allegedly really intrigued by the job being done by Carrick at Middlesbrough.
So could a move back to East London really be on the cards for the 41-year-old at the end of the season?
There is every chance that that will happen in my opinion, whenever Moyes is eventually moved on…
Chris Sutton weighs into Michael Carrick replacing David Moyes at West Ham debate
When speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport, Sutton fielded a call from a Hammers fan demanding that Carrick take over from Moyes at the London Stadium:
“Michael Carrick has done a really good job at Middlesbrough. You have got a guy, who has been around the block in David Moyes, who has had a wonderful managerial career. You see how tight it is at the bottom of the league, then surely he has the chance to see the season through. But if they lose (to Southampton), then it could turn ugly.”

I feel like Carrick would be a superb replacement for Moyes, whenever West Ham decide to pull the trigger.
Carrick, 41, has worked wonders at Middlesbrough since taking over at the Riverside earlier this season.
He has guided Boro to an incredible 50 points from only 23 Championship games and has taken them from near the bottom of the table up to third!
The former West Ham, Tottenham and Manchester United midfielder clearly has something special about him when it comes to managing.
Personally I would absolutely love to see Carrick take over from Moyes at the London Stadium. The football that he has his Middlesbrough side playing is an absolute joy to watch.
Michael Carrick would be the perfect man for West Ham and I don’t agree with Chris Sutton suggesting that David Moyes has had a ‘wonderful managerial career’.
The 41-year-old is on another level to the Scot tactically and he would be the ideal candidate to really take us forward as a club.
