West Ham United manager David Moyes could well lose his job at the London Stadium if the bad form continues.
David Moyes has done a fabulous job as West Ham manager over the past few years, but it’s clear to see that he has reached his ceiling.
The Hammers boss has overseen a really poor run of form at the London Stadium, and the club’s owners are said to be far from happy with the team’s recent performances.
West Ham have slipped down to ninth spot in the table after reaching the lofty heights of sixth just before the turn of the year.
So if the bad recent run does continue, and Moyes is moved on, who could come in to replace him? Reims boss Will Still is someone who has been heavily linked with taking over at the London Stadium over the past year or so, although Sunderland are closely monitoring him as well.
And now Stade de Reims’ general director Mathieu Lacour has admitted that he’d love to see the 31-year-old go on to manage the Hammers – the team he has supported all his life…

Club supremo happy for his manager to join West Ham to replace David Moyes
As the pressure continues to crank up on the Scot, it’s understandable that so many other managers will be linked with taking over in East London.
Still is obviously one of those and Lacour has suggested that he’d be very proud of the 31-year-old, if he does get the Hammers job, as quoted by Foot Mercato:
“There are no problems within the club. As usual with Will, we spoke in a frank and honest manner, and we have always had a healthy relationship. Not a day goes by without us talking. Regarding what is said in the article, we are a stepping stone club for young players and for managers. We would be very proud if Will were to manage in the Premier League at a team like his favourite, West Ham, for example. There’s no shame in showing your ambitions, and the manager can do that, but make no mistake bout it: our story at Stade de Reims is by no means over. We’re looking ahead and not just to the end of the season, but also in the medium term. We both don’t want the story to end.”
I honestly believe that the West Ham job is too big for Still right now. I’d really like to see him cut his teeth in the English game first – preferably in the Championship – before he gets handed the reins at the London Stadium.
He is a really promising young coach but if we’re being honest, he hasn’t yet done anything of note at the very highest level of the game.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Will Still ended up being West Ham manager one day, but I don’t think for one minute that he’ll be replacing David Moyes this early on in his journey in the game.
