And it seems as though Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres is someone who both Premier League clubs are chasing.

The Championship outfit might be forced to sell him if their £20 million demands are met…

West Ham to challenge Leeds for Viktor Gyokeres

Las month Football Insider, reported that Gracia wants to bring the Sweden international to Elland Road before the start fo next season.

However, this morning it emerged that the Hammers have joined the Whites in the race for the Coventry star’s signature.

If West Ham manage to beat Leeds to the forward’s signature, it will very much be our gain and their loss.

The 24-year-old has been described as ‘incredible’ by fellow Swede Viktor Johansson (Aftonbladet).

Gyokeres has been in superb form for the Sky Blues so far this season with 19 goals and eight assists in 39 appearances to his name (Transfermarkt).

He has 40 goals and 13 assists in 105 career games for Coventry under his belt (Transfermarkt).

Gyokeres is a very hard working forward and is always willing to run the channels – something that obviously appeals to Moyes.

The Swede is very strong with both feet and is very good at playing with his back to goal and turning defenders. His playing style is somewhat ‘chaotic’ according to Scout Football.

I think that Gyokeres still has more levels to reach but it remains to be seen whether he ends up at either West Ham or Leeds.
