The need for West Ham to beat Southampton on Sunday is clear and obvious for everyone to see.
Southampton are rock bottom of the Premier League table but they are only one point behind West Ham United.

However, the Saints have played two more games than West Ham, so it’s not unrealistic to presume that a win for the Hammers on Sunday could be the result that condemns the south coast club to relegation from the Premier League.

We all know how much we need to get three points at the London Stadium this weekend. Nothing less will do if we are to avoid the drop this season.
A win might just have another benefit for West Ham as well…
Added bonus if West Ham beat Southampton
Should the Hammers get what would be a vital three points on Sunday, there may well be an added bonus in the pipeline for us.
West Ham have been linked with a move to sign Southampton right-back Kyle Walker-Peters in the past (The Guardian).
He is exactly the type of player David Moyes needs at the London Stadium, what with his explosive pace, dynamism, energy and stamina.

The 25-year-old moved to Southampton from Tottenham in the summer of 2020 for around £15 million (talkSPORT).
And West Ham should be going all out to bring Walker-Peters back to London this summer.
The 25-year-old would be a huge upgrade on Vladimir Coufal, Ben Johnson and Thilo Kehrer at the London Stadium.
And if Southampton get relegated, West Ham should be all over Walker-Peters. Three points on Sunday will undoubtedly help swing the scales in our favour.
