West Ham United attacker Crysencio Summerville has made a stunning admission about something he told his father back in 2022.

Crysencio Summerville joined West Ham from Leeds United last weekend, for a fee believed to be worth around £20 million.

The general consensus is that the 22-year-old will prove to be a tremendous signing by Hammers head coach Julen Lopetegui.

He has all the makings of a real fan favourite, and has already highlighted just how much he respects the West Ham supporters.

The £20 million that the Hammers paid for Summerville is absolute peanuts in this day and age, and I fully expect the former Feyenoord ace to go on and be one of our best signings in recent history.

The young attacker bagged an impressive 21 goals and 10 assists in 49 appearances for Leeds last term, and if he could replicate anything like that at the London Stadium he’d be well worth the money.

He possesses blistering pace, terrific movement and has a real eye for goal and a killer pass.

West Ham’s attack is shaping up really nicely now, and the fans will be champing at the bit to see Summerville in action.

He clearly can’t wait to perform in front of us either.

We have lacked a player like him for quite some time now, and his pace and movement inside the final third should take us to another level entirely – something that Tim Steidten has already alluded to.

I have been dreaming about West Ham signing Summerville for quite some time now, and it seems as though the same can be said for the winger himself.

Sometimes players say something that instantly endears them to the home supporters, and that’s exactly what the Dutch star has just done.

Summerville sat down to speak with the Hammers’ official YouTube channel, and lifted the lid on his excitement about playing for the Hammers.

The 22-year-old said, “When I played in the London Stadium for Leeds two years ago, I said to my father and my girlfriend that I can see myself playing there one day. God made it happen. I’m so excited.“

Interestingly, the Dutchman never won against the Hammers in four attempts, and bagged only one assist and no goals during those games.

Summerville is an exceptional footballer though, and he has terrorised plenty of other teams up and down the country over the past couple of years.

I cannot wait to see him in the famous Claret and Blue – he’ll be a star for us, I’m sure of it.
