West Ham United director of football Tim Steidten played a key role in bringing Crysencio Summerville to the club.
He was on hand when the Hammers announced the signing of the 22-year-old winger on Saturday night.
Tim Steidten arrived at West Ham 13 months ago, and he has already helped facilitate some huge signings for us – Crysencio Summerville being the latest on the list.
The Dutchman joined the Hammers for a fee believed to be in the region of just £20 million.
That’s absolute peanuts in this day and age, and I fully expect Summerville to go on and be one of our best signings in recent history.
Anyone who watched Leeds United play last season will know just how good he is.
The young attacker bagged an impressive 21 goals and 10 assists in 49 appearances last term, and if he could replicate anything like that at the London Stadium he’d be well worth the money.
Now Steidten has opened up on Summerville’s ability, and his comments will set the West Ham fans’ pulses racing.

The ex-Leeds star has a really big future at West Ham, and the game in general.
Steidten was visibly delighted in the pictures during the official announcement of the Summerville to West Ham deal.
And the German lavished praise upon the Dutchman, when speaking to WHUFC.com.
