Callum Marshall was absolutely on fire for West Ham United under-21s during their 5-0 win against Middlesbrough this afternoon.
West Ham youngster Callum Marshall is just 18, and he already looks like he’s ready to play for the senior team.
The talented teenager signed his first professional contract with West Ham back in November 2022 (WHUFC.com).
Hammers boss David Moyes will surely be in close contact with under-21s boss Steve Potts about the Northern Irishman’s development this season.
I personally think he’s ready to make the jump up to the next level, and he sent another strong message today with a scintillating hat-trick for the under-21s against Middlesbrough…

Special teenager lights it up for West Ham under-21s
Marshall bagged a superb hat-trick today and missed a penalty, as the under-21 swatted aside Middlesbrough with an emphatic 5-0 win.
The 18-year-old now has a truly remarkable 11 goals and two assists in just seven games for the under-21s this season (Transfermarkt).
He can play anywhere along the front-line, has really impressive pace and movement, and is a truly brilliant finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity.
The teenager certainly seems to have something special about him, and it will be interesting to see how many goals he ends up scoring this season for the under-21s. I would also like to see him get some first-team experience either in Europe or the domestic cups.
The challenge for Potts and Moyes will be to get the absolutely best out of Callum Marshall and ensure that he is promoted to the first-team at the right time.
It seems to me like he’s too good to be playing for the under-21s and maybe, just maybe, Moyes will give him a chance with the West Ham first-team this season, if the opportunity to do so presents itself.
