West Ham United are moving in to sign Max Kilman from Wolves in the January transfer window, but we could face a big problem.
Max Kilman is seemingly a prime target for West Ham manager David Moyes in the January transfer window.
The Hammers have been chasing the 6ft 4in Wolves centre-back over the past month or so, and we’ll have to pay around £45 million to prise him away from Molineux.
That huge transfer fee is not the only problem that West Ham face though. According to a report from the Daily Mail (print edition January 11th, page 69), Moyes wants to bring Kilman to the London Stadium.
However, Wolves are under absolutely no pressure to sell the 26-year-old, because he recently signed a new five-year, £90k-a-week deal.
I would love Kilman at West Ham, but it seems as though it will be extremely problematic for Moyes to sign him…

West Ham want Max Kilman
The Wolves defender would take us to a whole new level defensively in my opinion, and the left-footed ace would be a major upgrade on Nayef Aguerd.
He is incredibly strong in the air, comfortable playing out from the back and is really strong in the challenge.
In 20 appearances for Wolves this season, the 26-year-old has averaged 1.3 tackles, one interception, 4.6 clearances and 2.7 successful aerial duels.
He has made 58.4 passes per game and has recorded a completion rate of 83% (Who Scored). Compare those stats with Aguerd’s and the Wolves man comes out on top in every single category (Who Scored).
Max Kilman would be a terrific addition for West Ham in the January transfer window, there are no two ways about that.
However, as things stand, it seems highly unlikely that we’ll be able to prise him away from Wolves midway through the season, and that’s a real shame.
