Two West Ham United players are reportedly being targeted by Saudi clubs in the January transfer window.
David Moyes is clearly keen to make one or two solid additions in the January transfer window, but the West Ham boss may well have a fight on his hands to keep two of his players with Saudi clubs monitoring them.
According to TEAMtalk, Lucas Paqueta is being targeted by Saudi clubs for a blockbuster January transfer. Meanwhile, Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth claims that an unnamed Saudi club are keen to sign Nayef Aguerd as well.
The 26-year-old was signed from Lyon for £53 million in the summer of 2022 (Daily Mail), whilst the 27-year-old centre-back arrived from Rennes at the same time for around £30 million (Sky Sports).
The £83 million duo have played 118 games between them for the Hammers over the past 17 months, so Moyes is clearly a huge fan of both of them, and the Scot has particularly raved about the Brazilian on numerous occasions.
Aguerd definitely has his faults but with his recovery pace, he’s still a vital player for West Ham. So losing him and Paqueta this winter would obviously be a big blow for us…

The Saudi Pro League has grown stronger and stronger over the past year, and they clearly have ambitious plans to grow even further still.
The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Roberto Firmino, NGolo Kante, Sadio Mane and many, many more have moved out to the Middle East over the past 12 months.
And now the Saudis are targeting even further big-money reinforcements.
TEAMtalk claim that with a deal for Liverpool star Mohammed Salah looking increasingly more unlikely, the Saudis are determined to make a big statement signing this winter, and Paqueta could be the man they go after.
Meanwhile, Dharmesh Sheth is suggesting that the Hammers could be open to selling Aguerd to a Saudi Pro League club if a replacement is brought in first.
This January transfer window could be an incredibly busy one for West Ham, with unnamed Saudi clubs sniffing around two of our most expensive signings.
And if we sell both of the players mentioned above, Moyes had better have some elite replacements lined up.
